Big Summit

System Type:

Epithermal, quartz-calcite veining, and stockwork zones.

Strike-Length:

The Big Summit target is mainly covered with a 2 km strike length potential.

Resource:

None at this time

Location:

The Big Summit target is located 3 km west of the Midnight target and 1 km south of the West Ridge target in the western portion of the Gold Springs project.

Drilling:

None to date.

Geophysics:

ZTEM shows a northwest trending resistivity high cutting through a portion of the target. There is a much stronger and larger ZTEM resistivity high located just to the southwest of the target located in an area of post-mineral tuff cover with no bedrock exposures.

Geology:

The Big Summit target is located immediately south of the Ridge and West Ridge targets and shows many similarities to those systems. Much of the area is covered with colluvium with a limited number of outcrops and historical workings offering insight into what is below.

Mineralized float is found over a 1.7 x 2.0 km area which provides an indication of the large potential size of this target. Workings in the area reveal altered and mineralized andesite below post-mineral tuffs and colluvium. Outcropping and sub-outcropping calcite-quartz veins are also found in areas near the historic workings. Veins are hosted within silicified andesite with several vein samples returning multi-gram gold values, reaching 30.3 g/t Au and 94.2 g/t silver.

Structural Geology:

Big Summit can be divided into two structural domains. The South target area consists of N-S trending ridges bound by major N-S trending fault zones, defined by deep valleys and stark changes in the dominate lithologies. This structural setting is similar to that found around the North and South Jumbo resource areas. To the North the topography is subdued and ridge lines are northeast trending, bound by fault zones of similar trends.

Historical Mining:

One deep shaft is located along the southern edge of the target and several small historic prospect pits are scattered over the area.

Geochemistry:

Veins are hosted within silicified andesite with several vein samples returning multi-gram gold values, reaching 30.3 g/t Au and 94.2 g/t silver. Values greater than the resource cut-off grade of 0.25 g/t Au are listed below.
