Ms. Woodside-Shaw is the chair of the Board and is one of Canada’s leading corporate and securities lawyers. Ms. Woodside-Shaw has more than 30 years’ experience advising Canadian and foreign companies involved in the mining sector on a wide range of matters including public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. She has her B.A. and LL.B from Queen’s University, is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors/Rotman School of Business Directors’ Education Program and has been awarded the designation “ICD.D” (certified director).
Antonio CantonDirector
Mr. Canton is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant and experienced businessman with deep expertise in finance and marketing. He was active for more than 30 years in business consulting in the field of management, finance and auditing for numerous Swiss and international companies. He was instrumental in negotiating the merger between the Company (then named South American Silver Corp.) and High Desert Gold Corp. that resulted in the Company acquiring the Gold Springs project. Together with management, he negotiated the settlement agreement with the Bolivian government to obtain prompt payment of the company’s international arbitration award against Bolivia for the 2012 expropriation of the Malku Khota project. Most recently, he was instrumental in structuring the Company’s non-equity financing structure with a view to raising up to US$20 million to fund drilling programs at the Gold Springs project.
Victor DarioDirector
Mr. Dario is a financial consultant with more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance and asset management. He is a member of management and board of directors in various companies in the financial and investment sector. He formerly worked in executive positions with UBS AG and Bankinvest AG, Zurich. He is currently a board member of Banca Credinvest S.A., Lugano. Victor Dario holds a master’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
Laurent ArnouxDirector
Mr. Arnoux acts today as an independent consultant and Director of investment companies and Hedge Funds. He has over 35 years of experience in various positions in the financial and derivatives markets. Mr. Arnoux was a member of senior management at Credit Suisse (GE), he developed with Credit Suisse Financial Products, the Private Bank’s OTC derivative and structured products, before running the advisory and research department. After that he was, for the Private Banking, head of the Department for sophisticated Investors & High Net Worth Individuals. Co-founder and Partner of The Family Office, Geneva, he also acted as an Advisor and Director of various hedge funds and Multi Strategy Fund of funds. Mr. Arnoux was a Board member of the Opus Family Funds of Hedge Funds managed by Schroders NewFinance Capital LLP. In parallel, he acted as Asset Manager for a multi-strategy Funds of Funds.
Philippe JouardDirector
Mr. Jouard is a seasoned international financial consultant with an extensive 35+ year professional background and several C-level positions or CEO with firms such as JP Morgan, UBS, Credit Suisse, Dexia, QInvest and Edmond de Rothschild. He has successfully built, managed and developed medium-sized to large organizations, with a 360-degree vision of strategy and development, business management and regulation. Always very active in the fields of asset management and private equity in Europe and in the Middle East, Mr. Jouard started his career in mergers & acquisitions and leveraged finance where he led or participated in several major, billion+ European transactions for Ultra-High Net Worth clients. In addition, Mr. Jouard created and managed several businesses in the finance area in France and in Qatar. Mr. Jouard holds a Master Degree in Finance and Economics from HEC (Paris) as well as a Degree in Corporate Strategy from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).
